Of freedom fighters there are but few,
Who have the kind of daring do.
That scale the globe in half a year
Ripping up turf of yester years
Politics, economics, and bad debt gone
Better than a megaton bomb
Ecuador has risen fast it’s
Economics now will last
The test, yes test of things to come
Julian Assange for them has won.
No ‘Truth’ could last if it were ‘lie’
No ‘lie’ could last the sound of time.
The tolling bell, let us not hear,
For that dear love who loved us dear.
The Woodpecker Came
The woodpecker came,
Pecking at the lawn,
The grass was dry,
It’s yellowed stems,
But, the pecking at the ground,
To find a seed or grub.
The ground was hard.
I saw that his feathers
Were dull with dirt,
From the air or journey,
That he had aged maybe.
